Pregnancy Survey 14 Weeks

Sorry still no new picture. I'll try and get one tomorrow.


How far along? 14 (10/6)
Total weight gain/loss: Don't really know, maybe a lb





Maternity clothes? Definitely


Stretch marks? Thank heavens no! I'm hoping we can forgo stretch marks this pregnancy!




Sleep: Still not sleep as great as I'd like but since I bought that pillow I toss & turn far less than before. Which is relieving.





Best moment this week:Today actually, feeling the baby being very active!




Movement:Today like crazy




Food cravings: Cheese, pretzels, Swiss Rolls, Spaghetti




Gender:The day before Thanksgiving we'll be finding out, as long as the baby cooperates with us.

Labor Signs: No



Belly Button in or out? Innie




Wedding rings on or off? Off, my fingers keep swelling


What I miss: Feeling good more often and getting lots of sleep.




What I am looking forward to: Still hoping that we'll be finding out if the U/S can determine if there are two babies or not! I'm hoping for sooner rather than later!




Weekly Wisdom: Keep something to nibble on by your bed so you can eat a little something before getting up for the day. You'll be less likely to throw up!




Milestones: First Braxton Hicks contraction, just one and it took me by surprise. Apparently its easier to notice them with subsequent pregnancies.

Talented Tuesday

I'm not sure if I've posted these photos before, but its all I could find for Talented Tuesday. And seeing how I'm sick in bed with a massive migraine, I really don't feel like looking very far for my Talent of the day. I have developed a passion for cake decorating and I don't mean simple icing with a little writing on top. I mean cakes like this APC for my Father-in-Law's birthday or the dragon I made for my husband's birthday. The Dragon took me 9 hours, all through the night to finish and it was worth it. The APC actually took me 14+ hours and I still felt that I could have used more time on it. He liked it just the way it was. I also made a birthday cake for my kid's joint birthday party. It had a castle with all the Disney Princesses and the toy box from Toy Story. Unfortunately I never got a chance to take a picture of the finished project and on the two hour drive to the party location it fell apart. And I do mean completely apart. I was about four or five weeks pregnant and so I bawled & bawled. I worked about 16+ hours on the cake to watch it fall to pieces. It wasn't a good day for me. It won't stop me however from making more cakes. I think my kid sister-in-law wants me to make her a dragon cake in November for her birthday. We'll see how I feel at 19 to 20 weeks along, if I have the energy to take on such a project. So, that's this week's Talent. I hope you enjoyed it!

Memory Monday: Who Are You?

I love this photo of Aidan's first time on Santa's lap. Surprisingly he didn't cry. He just looked at him like, "Who are you?" I love that in this photo it shows both of them almost surveying each other trying to figure out what to make of each other. This is the only time he didn't cry on Santa's lap. This last year he was hysterical about it, even when the once party Santa was played by my Hubby! Over the last couple weeks, Aidan is convinced that Santa is sitting in  my rocker glider and is always going over and telling Santa he wants dragons and trains. Its so cute. I hope this bodes well for this year's Santa visit. I guess we'll see.

Signature Sunday: And What Did I Find...

This last week my daughter went 'missing.' Do not worry she was lost somewhere in our house. When I finally found her, this is what I found

She had conveniently put herself away in her toy box! I couldn't believe it. She was beaming up at me like, "Here I am Mom. I've been here the whole time." Silly Aislynn! After a few minutes though, she found she couldn't climb back out and was very upset. Mommy had to come to the rescue. Just another day in the Misadventures Of An Army Momma With Two Under 2, soon to be Three Under 3.

Braxton Hicks, Already?

I just had my first Braxton Hicks contraction of my pregnancy and was totally shocked about it. To the point where I raced to the computer to check on What To Expect website to find out if this was normal this early. Which luckily I found out that it is and especially since I've had two other babies its more common. It was a relief to me. There isn't really anything to worry about until there is cramping accompanying it or more than six in an hour. *Big Sigh* It really was weird though. I went downstairs to grab a munchie and suddenly my abdomen felt strange. I touched it and found that it was hard as a rock. It lasted a minute or so and then was gone. My husband pointed out that contractions at this point are bad. I thanked him for pointing out the obvious (got to love Husbands!). I haven't felt anymore in the last half hour, so I'm not worried and it didn't hurt.

1. What is the silliest get-up you have ever worn outside of a Halloween party? (from To The Nth)
I was in a play the summer before I was a Junior in high school and i had to be a hill billy. Ragged levi shorts multi-colored blouse with multi-colored patches and my braids stuck out like Pippi longstockings.

2. What is something that you gave up in order to live the military lifestyle? (from Pennies from Heaven)
A life with predictable events. As a soldier's wife you come to expect the unexpected!

3. If money wasn’t a factor and you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? And why? (from Life and Times of a Displaced Jersey Girl)
Definitely Scotland! My hubby and I have a rich Scottish Heritage. So, naturally we'd love to spend lots of time exploring. We're also big history buffs.

4. If you were going to join the military, what branch would you join? Or which MOS/rating would you choose? (from And You Never Did Think)
I did join the Army Reserves and I was a 92F (a fueler) If I had to do it again I'd have gone either Active Army as a photographer or Air Force as a photographer.
5. What is your favorite thing to make for dinner? (from Armendinger Party of 4)
Chicken Pillows from Real Mom Kitchen. My family loves it and its so simple to make.
